On March 6th, White Chocolate Cheesecake Day will be celebrated. This is one of America's favorite desserts. Today is National Cheesecake Day, and we're celebrating this delicious dessert. A cheesecake is a mixture of soft fresh cheese, cream cheese, or cottage cheese, eggs, and sugar on a crust made from crushed graham crackers, crushed cookies, pastry or sponge cake. Cheesecakes can be baked or unbaked and are often served topped with fruit, chocolate, or whipped cream. There are many flavors in which cheesecakes can be prepared. White chocolate is not a true chocolate because it doesn’t contain cocoa solids. These are the dark-colored parts of the cocoa bean. They are separated out during the manufacturing process of other chocolates, like milk chocolate and dark chocolate. However, white chocolate is made differently. It doesn’t have cocoa solids, so they don’t return to the mixture. There are lots of different types of chocolate, but white chocolate is the youngest. It contains less caffeine than the rest and doesn't have as many health benefits. However, it's still a very tasty type of chocolate. It's added to desserts to make them extra rich, so you can expect it to be decadent.
