What is National Wreaths Across America Day?
National Wreaths Across America Day is December 15th. It is a day to Remember, Honor, and Teach. December 15th is the anniversary of the passing of the National Wreaths Across America Act of 2006, which establishes December 15th as National Wreaths Across America Day. This act is meant to honor the sacrifices made by our fallen military members and veterans. The purpose of this day is to remember them and ensure that their sacrifices are never forgotten. Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization that coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 2,500 locations across the United States.

History of National Wreaths Across America Day
In 1992, Morrill Worcester of Harrington, Maine, had a surplus of wreaths. He thought about the people who had died in the United States, including at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. Those sacrifices inspired him to do great things with his life.
