National Zoo Lovers Day - 2022-04-08

What is National Zoo Lovers Day?
The National Zoo Lovers Day reminds us to visit the zoo on April 8. The zoos are a place where we can learn about animals in our local environment. Each year millions of us visit the zoo, and many of them serve as breeding centers.
In 1752, the first modern zoo was established by Emperor Francis I of Austria. It was created for the viewing pleasure of the royal family, but in 1765 it was extended to the public. In 1775, a second zoo opened in Madrid and Paris in 1795.
These facilities are used when animals are endangered or at risk of becoming endangered. They also educate the public about animals and their habitats. We all love seeing animals in their natural habitat, swinging from trees or splashing in water. Go have fun at the zoo!
