National Zucchini Bread Day - 2022-04-25
What is National Zucchini Bread Day?
Every April 25th, National Zucchini Bread Day encourages people to bake with zucchini. Some curious explorers brought back strange foods from the Americas to Europe, including the zucchini. The zucchini eventually found its way to Italy, where it was given a new name: zucchino. Native Americans called it “something eaten raw.” But we all know that zucchini tastes best cooked, especially when baked in bread. Quick breads are like zucchini bread. Other quick breads include banana bread, muffins, scones, and biscuits. The two types of quick breads go into the oven in loaf pans. When finished, slice and serve with butter or peanut butter or jam or simply eat.
