Winter Solstice - 2021-12-21
What is Winter Solstice?
The Winter Solstice is the day with the shortest period of daylight. It is also the longest night of the year. In many cultures, it is a feast and celebration day, but even if you are totally agnostic, you can still enjoy this day because after today, you will see gradually shorter nights and longer days. This means you can celebrate nature's gradual change from cold to warm temperatures. You can celebrate the solstice in a variety of ways. In Pagan tradition, you sit in darkness and bring light to the world by engaging in chanting and singing. It’s also traditional to light a Yule log bonfire or fire circle. Bring plenty of light sources, such as candles, to light up your home for this sacred event.
