What is World Kindness Day?
The purpose of World Kindness Day is to remind people that being kind makes life better for everyone while being cruel hurts both the victim and the perpetrator. Kindness is a type of behavior marked by acts of generosity, consideration, or concern for others, without expecting praise or reward.
Kindness in words creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving creates love.
Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
In a world where you can be anything, we can choose to Be Kind.
When is World Kindness Day?
World Kindness Day is an international observance on November 13. It was created in 1998 by Japanese author and musician Daisaku Ikeda, founder of the Soka Gakkai Buddhist association.
History of World Kindness Day
It was introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement, a coalition of nations kindness NGOs. It is observed in many countries, including Canada, Australia, Nigeria, and the United Arab Emirates. It was first observed in Singapore in 2009.
The purpose of World Kindness Day is to bring about awareness of the goodness in people. It was created more than two decades ago by the World Kindness Movement, which strives to bring good deeds into the spotlight. Since then, it has achieved global popularity; events associated with this day have attracted participants from every inhabited continent.
The inauguration of World Kindness Day is designated on November 13th of 1998 after the formation of the World Kindness Movement.
